Overview
Brian Head offers some of the most spectacular OHV riding in Southern Utah, with trails winding through alpine forests at elevations over 10,000 feet. Located just 30 minutes from D&P Performance in Cedar City, this trail system is perfect for a day trip or weekend adventure.
Popular Trails
Pioneer Trail
A 12-mile loop that takes you through aspen groves and offers stunning views of the valley below. Suitable for most skill levels with some moderate rocky sections.
Steam Engine Meadow
An easy 8-mile trail through open meadows, perfect for beginners and families. Great for spotting wildlife in the early morning hours.
Dark Hollow
For experienced riders, this technical trail features steep climbs and tight switchbacks through dense forest. Not recommended for stock machines.
What to Bring
- Full tank of fuel (nearest gas station is in Brian Head town)
- Plenty of water and snacks
- Rain gear (afternoon storms are common in summer)
- Trail map or GPS device
- Basic tool kit and first aid supplies
Regulations
All vehicles must be registered and display valid OHV stickers. Stay on designated trails to protect the fragile alpine ecosystem. Quiet hours are enforced from 10pm to 7am in campground areas.
